Putting the Art Back in Artisan:
Artisan Alley Beverage District Launches this Weekend in Windsor
Introducing guest blogger William Allen of Two Shepherds Wine in Windsor.
Any visit to Windsor will no longer be complete without a visit to Artisan Alley – the new beverage district anchored by four hand-crafted beverage artisans. We are Two Shepherds Wine, Sonoma Brothers Distilling, Colagrossi Wines and Tilted Shed Ciderworks. We are passionate, small family owned businesses, excited to share the work we are doing together to highlight small lot, high quality, beverage production, made 100% on site from farm to bottle.
This weekend we are celebrating our launch with our inaugural event. Join us this Saturday, May 7th from 11am-5pm on Bell Road where our facilities are located next door to each other.
To commemorate and celebrate our launch,
we will each be offering something special:
- Colagrossi will offer special barrel tastings and future sale
- Sonoma Brothers Distilling will offer a commemoratory cocktail in addition to spirits tasting and a preview of the upcoming release of their apple brandy
- Tilted Shed will offer tastes and purchase of a limited release cider currently available exclusively to Cider Club members
- At Two Shepherds we will be using this day to launch our 2014 Viognier from Catie’s Corner, a vineyard just 2 miles away, and will offer barrel tasting of our Russian River Pinot Meunier
Tickets are $20 in advance ($25 at the door) and include tastings and a $15 purchase credit. There will be a Home Winemaker/Brewer display…so careful, your hobby could become the next Two Shepherds! That’s basically what happened to me!
Bariadelli Food Truck will be joining the fun as well so you can make a stop for lunch. We are putting the “art” back in artisan on Artisan Alley. Come experience it first hand at our launch party this weekend!
